국제금융센터세계연합 (World Alliance of International Financial Centers, WAIFC)의 Young Academic Award 2023에 대해 안내해드립니다.

WAIFC는 벨기에 브뤼셀에 위치한 비영리 단체로 런던, 홍콩, 프랑크푸르트, 파리, 부산 등27개 세계 주요 금융센터로 구성되어 있습니다. 

WAIFC Young Academic Award는 미래금융, 지속가능금융, 포용금융관련 주제로 논문 또는 에세이를 모집하고 있으며 상세한 내용은 아래와 같습니다.

1. 논문 공모전 주제 :

1) The future of financial literacy and education in International Financial Centers (IFC), and how IFCs can support people of all ages?

2) How do the financial centers support talent development and re-skilling, particularly regarding sustainability and fintech? How can the financial sector remain an attractive employer for young talent?

3) The role of IFCs in promoting environmental, social, and governance (ESG) practices in finance.

4) The role of IFCs in financing the circular economy.

5) How can IFCs foster gender diversity in the financial industry?
6) What role can IFCs play in promoting financial inclusion and accessibility?
7) We will also consider papers on topics not mentioned above but relevant to the work of international financial centers.

2. 공모 자격 : 2023년 6월 15일 기준 만 35세 이하로서 대학교, 연구기관, 싱크탱크등에서 연구를 하는 사람

(경제, 수학, 컴퓨터 공학 혹은 관련 박사과정 학생의 참여도 환영)

* 복수의 저자가 참여하는 경우 최소 1인은 2023년 06월 15일 기준 만 35세 이하여야 함

3. 신청서 접수 마감 : 2023년 05월 15일

4. 논문 제출 마감: 2023년 06월 15일

- 논문은 과거에 게재되지 않았어야 하며 게재되었다면 2022년 이후이어야 함

5. 신청서 접수 : 지원하기 클릭

6. 논문분량 : 5페이지 이상 25페이지 이하 (참고문헌 제외)

- 영어로 쓰여지거나 영어로 번역된 논문을 제출하여야 함

- 신청서 접수시 200~500단어 분량의 논문 초록(Abstract)과 차례(Table of contents)를 함께 제출해야 함

7. 시상내역 : 상훈에 따라 WAIFC 상장과 상금 수여

- 최우수상 (Best paper): 상금 3,000 유로

- 우수상 (2nd place) : 상금 2,000유로

- 장려상 (3rd place) : 상금 1,000유로

최종 3인의 경우 미국 뉴욕행 항공기(이코노미)와 호텔 숙박권 2일 제공 예정 (2023년 10월 예정)
WAIFC AGM(Annual General Meeting)에서 최종 3인이 프리젠테이션 발표 후 최종 수상자 결정
