On June 24, 2025, President Myongho Rhee met with Arsenio Domínguez, Secretary-General of the International Maritime Organization (IMO), in London to exchange views on the IMO’s Net-Zero Framework for the shipping industry and explore collaboration in maritime finance. President Rhee also introduced Busan’s upcoming role as host of the 2026 WAIFC Annual General Meeting and invited IMO’s interest and engagement in the event.
