On June 29, 2025, President Myongho Rhee met with Yousuf Al-Jaida, CEO of the Qatar Financial Centre Authority (QFCA), in Doha, Qatar to discuss practical avenues for cooperation between Busan and Qatar in the financial and maritime sectors. During the meeting, President Rhee introduced Busan’s strategy as a maritime capital and emerging financial hub, expressed strong interest in deepening engagement in areas such as regulatory innovation, fintech, and investment promotion.
