On June 25, 2025, BFC President Myongho Rhee met with Lamia Merzouki, COO of Casablanca Finance City Authority (CFCA) and Chair of the World Alliance of International Financial Centers (WAIFC), to exchange updates on the financial center strategies of both Busan and Casablanca. The discussion highlighted shared priorities in sustainable finance, particularly the development of voluntary carbon markets (VCM), where both sides expressed strong alignment and interest in collaboration. The meeting also served as an opportunity to strengthen ties within the WAIFC network and explore future joint initiatives.
