President Myongho Rhee of the Busan Finance Center announced the opening of the GFCI 36: Global Financial Centers Index Launch Symposium, jointly held by the agency and Z/Yen Group on September 24, 2024. He emphasized the necessity for Busan to solidify its status as a global financial hub and noted that this event will serve as an opportunity for Busan to enhance its international competitiveness. Additionally, Busan ranked 25th out of 121 countries in the recently announced Global Financial Centers Index (GFCI) evaluation.
