At a symposium organized by the Busan Finance Center to discuss the achievements and challenges on the 15th anniversary of Busan's designation as a financial hub, Lee Bok-hyun, Governor of the Financial Supervisory Service, delivered a keynote speech. He declared that the financial authorities will spare no effort to help Busan's financial hub advance further. First, to continue innovation amidst digital transformation, support for fintech companies will be strengthened. Second, to seize the opportunities presented by changes in the global financial environment, the construction of digital and climate change-related financial infrastructure will be pursued. Third, support will be provided for customized strategies tailored to each financial hub to solidify its foundation. Particularly, he emphasized that the financial authorities will collaborate closely with local governments, public institutions, and financial companies in a united effort to support policy finance in Busan, a global logistics hub and a center for maritime finance, and to promote advanced industries such as smart ports.
